“Hipster” Portlandia Comes to Williamsburg

In this interview with Fred Armisen in AM New York, we find out that “Portlandia: The Tour” includes some music, including stuff from the show and performances by “friends”; video from upcoming episodes; and “quick visits” from Portlandia characters, but no sketch comedy, per se. AM New York says Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s IFC sketch comedy show “Portlandia “should be familiar to anyone who has spent time in any of Brooklyn’s hipper neighborhoods.”

Armisen, a New Yorker, says he’s experienced Portlandia-like communities in Williamsburg and “more and more in Bushwick.”  Check out Portlandia: The Tour ($30) at the Music Hall of Williamsburg Friday at 9 p.m.
