No Sidewalk Cafe for Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street

The plan to set up a 12-table sidewalk cafe at Five Guys Burgers and Fries on Flatbush Avenue has been rejected by Community Board 2. The board’s transportation committee voted 8–3 against this 48-seat outdoor dining space, which they felt would get in the way of pedestrian traffic from the subway stop at Nevins Street. There’s also a pedestrian plaza going in around the same place… and if that s built, Five Guys customers will have place to sit after all. Read more in this report by Jane Teeling.
