Join our community in connecting
Brooklyn to the rainforest Costa Rica.
We are helping to raise 2 million dollars needed to purchase and
preserve 1250 acres of precious rainforest in the
Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. National Geographic calls it
“the most biologically intense place on the planet.”
These lands are for sale. RIGHT NOW this area is in
danger of being developed—destroying trees, fauna and the critical migration pathways for jaguars, Tapirs and many other endangered species birds and animals.
•The amount of oxygen produced by an acre of trees per year equals
the amount consumed by 18 people annually.
• One tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year.
• One acre of trees removes up to 2.6 tons of carbon dioxide each year.
What happens there happens here!
