On Saturday, October 15, Little Mo Wine & Spirits, the Nostrand Avenue wine and liquor spot happily serving Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Flatbush, is inviting the community to help press 120 lbs of wine grapes on the sidewalk outside of the shop. The crush will happen in the tried and true fashion -- by foot! This traditional practice, called pigeage in the wine world, dates back to Roman times. Little Mo Wine owner Mark Schwartz is creating this pioneering family-friendly event to celebrate the store's first anniversary. It’s likely that the Little Mo Wine Grape Stomp will be the first time pigeage has been undertaken out on the streets of Brooklyn. There will also be wine and spirits tastings throughout the event. Come join us!
