Join Brooklyn Queens Land Trust for a self-guided walking and biking tour of your Brooklyn neighborhood gardens! Experience the vibrancy, diversity and cultural traditions of Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Crown Heights, Bedford Stuyvesant, Prospect Heights, and Park Slope through their community gardens. Connect with fellow nature lovers, foodies, and environmental stewards, all committed to preserving open green spaces. Learn about bees, herbs, and trees; engage with community; bring old friends, and make new ones.
BQLT's gardens give community members access to critical green space in our environment. Our gardeners produce fruits, herbs, and vegetables while fostering a sense of community identity, ownership, and stewardship. These community gardens also provide safe outdoor spaces for children and families to play and interact.
All of the gardens highlighted on the tour can be reached by a fun and easy bicycle ride and most of them are accessible on foot. All are welcome to drive or use public transportation. This is a self-guided tour. Please feel free to visit all gardens or one during the open hours listed below.
Thanks to our friends at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, we have a limited number of Citi Bikes available. Bike sign up begins at 9:30 am on the day of the tour, first come first served.
*Citi Bikes will be distributed at 10:00 am or until all bikes are claimed.*
Meet us at 8:30 am for the renowned Clifton Place Garden Bake Sale for an array of homemade baked goods, both savory and sweet, hot tea, and fresh coffee.

The tour will take place rain or shine. Severe/hazardous weather will result in the event's cancellation. In this case, registered participants will be notified via email by 8:30 am on the day of the tour.
There is no charge for the tour, but donations to BQLT are appreciated and allow us to continue offering free programs and tours. Make a donation to BQLT and support community gardens!
