When I looked in today, carpenters were busy constructing what looked like a bar along the left side of the space, and a big bench type seat that ran the length of the right side of the space.

A neighbor of mine has had two people try to break into her building in the neighborhood recently. But I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem. Is she just extremely unlucky, or have other people heard about recent break-in?

This has been going since this afternoon and showing no signs of stopping at midnight. I can Shazam the music (2 Chainz) through a shut window and I'm a half block away on the other side. Does anyone know who's running these? Weird thing is when you walk down Park Place, you can't hear it and you don't see any people coming and going, so 186 is only an educated guess (you can see flashing lights coming from the back of that address if you look). Last summer was relatively quiet -- I thought they might have moved on to another venue -- but they're back again.

Wish something could be done about this, at least make it stop at a reasonable hour so people in the vicinity can actually sleep. I'm sure the partiers are having fun, but they're ensuring that no one else on the block is able to enjoy some peace in their own gardens or in the back rooms of their homes or apartments for more than half a day and way into the night.

Did anyone see a man dressed as a priest and two women in serious blue nuns' habits walking around the neighborhood? I swear they tried to get into my apartment.

Think I heard what sounded like 10 or 11 gunshots a little after 11:00, followed by several police cars and an ambulance turning onto Saint Marks near Grand. Anyone know what happened?

The study reveals that minority renters and home buyers are told about and shown fewer homes and apartments. Black renters who contact agents about recently advertised units learn about 11% fewer available units and are shown roughly 4% fewer units. Black homebuyers who contact agents about recently advertised homes learn about 17% fewer available homes and are shown about 18% fewer units.

Similarly, Asian renters who contact agents about recently advertised housing units learn about 10% fewer available units and are shown nearly 7% fewer units. In addition, Asian home buyers learn about 15% fewer available homes and are shown nearly 19% fewer units.

Hispanic renters who contact agents about recently advertised housing units learn about 12% fewer available units and are shown roughly 7% fewer units.

However, the difference in treatment for Hispanic home buyers is not statistically significant, the study finds.

Work has been going on for several months, and (from the outside) one can see that there are one or two apartments that are not being touched, while the rest are being gutted.

Presumably, the building has a few holdout rent stabilized apartments.

for what its worth it was on the later side of things,but what ever the bar was not crowded at all. me and my friend came in sat down chilled for about 3 minutes i went to the bathroom came back 5 minutes had passed. he begins to take pictures of the bar tender with his FLASH on to get the attention of this person who still didnt come down so now we are at the 10 min mark and i set the timer on my phone to see how much longer we would be ignored 3 minutes and 30 seconds passed since i set the timer and a off duty employee comes over and attempts to talk and ask whats up and how she can help us at this point im FURIOUS that i sat for 10+ mins in a not busy bar with no service. so we begin to ask about the fact we waited for so long and she becomes hostile and basically says we can leave. and we did..

i will recommend that NO friend of mine ever go to this horrible place with awful service. its a shame because we try and support local business and they treat "us" like this.. tsk tsk tsk anyway RANT END
