      recipe:

packet of sundried tomatoes in olive oil

      handful of pine nuts

      handful of macadamia nuts

wad of cilantro (aka what you´re not throwing in the chicken soup)

      yerbabuena (nice handful)

      wad of swiss chard

      salinerito parmesean cheese -- lots

half a head of garlic, peeled

half a bottle, at least, of olive oil to emulsify

      blender

      half works for 6 ppl

I used orichette (sp) as the pasta and some already cooked chicken breast (hence the soup), onions, garlic, mushrooms and red chili flakes as part of the eventual sauce mixture, tossed w/ the pasta. big hit.

delish! i made a similar pesto recently using the sundried tomatoes from United meat market (spices and all), along with roasted peppers, pine nuts, garlic, & cheese. I didn't add any olive oil since united packs their tomatoes with plenty. it was yummy.
