I am so glad we were able to rescue these little ones yesterday before the weather got cold again - we discovered them a couple days ago, living outside in a narrow space between two sets of steps of neighboring houses on my block. They are about 6-8 weeks old, and have had baths and their nails clipped. No fleas, no ear mites that we could see, and they've all started on their dewormer. They are still to young to be tested for FIV/FeLV, so it's important that at least for now, they go to homes with no other cats, or to a home where they can be separated from other cats. Their teeth look good, and their eyes are clear and bright. I've done a lot of trapping on my block and have fortunately never encountered a feral who was FIV or FeLv positive, so I think chances are good for these little ones. I am looking for potential adopters, and/or foster homes for them...someone who can give them a lot of time and TLC right now while they are still so young...bring them out of their shells a bit, as they are still a little unsure of people. I don't mind splitting them up, but I do want to make sure they all eventually go to a home with at least one other kitten / cat buddy so that they're not all alone. Here are a few photos, and a link where you can see more. They are so tiny and fluffy and adorable! If you've ever wanted to foster a kitten, or if you are interested in introducing a new feline member to your own cats or dogs, this is the perfect opportunity to get them adjusted from a young age! I will be able to have them tested the first week of May. Until then, I need to find one more foster home for 3 of them if possible, as my landlord has given them the boot and told us we need to move them on. My g\f and I were looking into adopting another sibling for our current cat (almost 2 yrs old) We know the procedure to keep them separated until they are used to each other. I will pm you.

OMG, so freaking cute! I want to stick my face in the kitty pile! Must resist furry little faces, 8 kitties + 3 fosters is enough. Good luck finding homes for them, I'll keep them in mind and ask around for foster homes!Go do something useful.

Yay! We found a foster home for 3 of them, and possibly the other two - still working on that. In a couple weeks they will be tested, vaccinated, etc, and ready to start going to permanent homes, so anyone interested in adopting, let me know! The group of three are so far doing quite well with dogs, too!

Hi Joshgua, yes, all of the kittens are available, but not for a couple of weeks...they are in foster homes right now spending a little time getter better adjusted to being loved and petted and held. In a few weeks they will be old enough to be tested and vaccinated, etc, and will be ready to go to permanent homes. I think going to a home that already has a cat is a good idea. If you are interested in learning more about them, meeting them, or possible adoption, PM me and I'd be happy to chat with you! Thanks! ps - kitten season is beginning, so there should be no shortage of kittens in a few weeks...AC&C, ASPCA, and other shelters should soon be brimming with them, so you can always check there too.

I know, they are just so darn cute. I'm happy to say that they are all doing well in their foster homes and have just figured out in the last couple of days how to play! Too cute. One of them purred for the first time! They are truly delightful, and they are counting down the weeks until they can get out of their crates and into permanent homes. -
Ok! Update on the 5 "stoop" kittens! They are all doing super great and have become really well-adjusted, typical kittens - curious, playful, sneaky, hysterical, delightful little bundles. They are scheduled this week for testing and vaccinations, and will be ready for adoption by Memorial Day weekend! Julep, Jasper, and Tito only have until this weekend in their current foster home - I need to find another home for these 3 ASAP, whether foster or adoptive...brief bios:
Jasper (gray male) is the biggest and boldest - he is totally at ease and not afraid of anything! He purrs the minute you start petting him.
Julep is the gray female, a little smaller and not quite as bold as her brother, but she's still a fierce hunter of all things string and loves to be petted.
Tito (black male) is the smallest kitten, but the biggest sweetheart. He is a mush in the making and will fall asleep in your lap within a minutes of being held. He's a really mellow guy, but still love to sneak up on his bro and sis for some wrestling.
All 3 of them get along great with the 2 resident greyhounds and would do well in a home with other animal playmates. Jasper has a lot of energy and could really use another kitten or young cat to pal around with. Tito and Julep might like to stay together.
Roscoe & Bootsie (gray and white male & black and white female) have a youtube movie - check it out!
These get along famously and would love to be adopted together. Bootise wears the pants (or should I say boots?) in the family. She loves to be carried around and will doze blissfully in your lap. Not to be outdone by his sister, Roscoe, although slightly shier, also enjoys a good lap nap, and they both love wrestling, chasing, and playing with anything that moves.
If you're interested in meeting any of these amazingly beautiful and delightful kittens, let me know! They are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and lots of love to your home. -

Good news for Julep, Jasper, and Tito! These three lucky ones have been adopted - Julep and Tito went to their new home together, and Jasper gets to stay with his foster people and their 2 Greyhounds! Now we just need a home for Bootsie and Roscoe...they are coming along beautifully - Bootsie is a lovebug, and Roscoe is doing great - he's starting to understand how wonderful being petted is and has taken to sacking out in his foster mom's lap...it could be your lap! These beauties could be yours forever! Why not get them while they are still so young and adorably, hysterically cute!
