We are calling on the community to help support the 8500 workers who have been locked out and are NOT, I repeat not on strike. We have not gotten much news coverage since CONED's pockets are deep, so we have to seek other measures. Please help us by calling your local elected officials and tell them to get 8500 CONED workers back to work!

I hear about this all the time on the news...so I kind of doubt your implication that CE is bribing the various news organizations to keep a lid on this, but whatever. Good luck.

Funny thing...I heard on the news last night that while the workers were locked out there were fewer on the job injuries to the managers that were taking their place. Now maybe that's because there's less work being done but maybe not. In any event, they were locked out because they didn't come to terms on a new contract which involved them paying more for health insurance. Well boo fu...n hoo. My health insurance goes up every year (currently $1212 a MONTH for me and the wife) and if I want it, I pay it. I don't think Con Ed employees are paying that kind of dough.
