Addendum: Say what you will about tea party people, they actually work within the system. To imply that they would do something like this is without merit let alone a plausible link. Seems to me a moderator should be held to a higher standard or can anyone throw shit through the fan.

WFP wanted to frame this as a Tea Party attack, but frankly I don't see how dangerous they could have been to anyone (this cycle, anyway) on the right so they would have wanted to disrupt them. Cuomo was in no danger at all; they certainly weren't at risk of not getting 50,000 votes and keeping ballot status (if this was going to be the motivation, someone might have gone after the Green Party, which barely made it). If this wasn't a ridiculously obscene internal act of self-promotion (a strong accusation, I know, but nonetheless hasn't been ruled out even on The Daily Kos!), then this could have been the handiwork of a disillusioned former supporter who didn't like the selling out to Cuomo.
