you guys gotta kick out the establish powers that are here already, usually means the democratic party. sounds strange doesn't it. but its a entrench power.

can't blame the conservatives or republicans in nyc. they don't hold any real power. the party is the problem.

when was there any real changes to polices etc.. in nyc? people just vote in the same party day in and day out.

I would love to see fines in a progressive manner. right now lets say a speeding ticket is $150, that would effect the guy who makes $10 hr more than the guy who makes $10000 hr.

we should have a vat. no more loop holes, poor should be exempted. rich always find loop holes, with vat they'll have to pay a fair percentage.

either out law all guns or guns for all. right now we have only a select few who have them. usually rich and well connect or former cops etc...

no more reform bs with the criminals put them to work, they are sucking tons of money into the system.

get rid of race on all things. a just society shouldn't be tracking ones race on things. no more busing or quotas in school. fix the local schools, by taking them out their neighbourhoods doesn't solved the problem decades of this has proven it doesn't work. it just spreads the problem.
all school funding should be equal on per child bases.

so nobody would scream oh my idiot of a son doesn't get equal treatment, hey not my fault your idiot of a son or school didn't do well fire them teachers and yourself etc...

legalize all drugs, hey if people want to f themselves up go ahead and tax it and apply alcohol laws on like driving etc.. on that.

      same goes for prostitution.

no immigration raids, i haven't seen one in a long time but nyc should hinder ice at every turn. it should be a true city of the world. no more bs bootlegging raids on canal or smokers or any other easy targets for the politicians.

      legalize gambling inside nyc.

young kids shouldn't be outside past midnight, especially the young packs of yuts.

also legalize suicide, come on some folks can't take life any more don't force life on them!!!

You sound like either a libertarian or an anarchist. Speeding tickets are progressive. The faster you go over the limit, the higher the fine. As for the VAT it's a great idea, but why exempt the poor? Who's to say who is poor when you walk into the store. Do they show their medicaid cards? Do the poor not get enough benefits in our society? As for gambling and prostitution...there's slots at Yonkers and Monticello. People who shouldn't be wasting their money are playing lotto endlessly and they certainly don't need to pay for sex. And, is there going to be a higher VAT, which for those who don't know means Value Added Tax, if she's a better hooker than another? Your post just shows a lot of ranting and raving but it needs a little more thought. One last thing, busing for integration purposes in the NYC schools hasn't happened for at least 30 years. If schools are segregated it's because some people all live in one neighborhood while others choose or can afford to live in another. Race doesn't play a part....income does.

    4. I dunno, you'd be hard-pressed to find many libertarians clamoring for progressive fines, VAT taxes (except maybe as a total replacement for income tax), decreased enforcement of illegal immigration laws or curfews.

Some of the specific points of the platform are wacky, but I can't disagree with the "kicking out the entrenched folks" part.

not really should be base on the % of ones income. this way the rich guys who don't care about traffic laws will pay their fair percentage.

tell that to reality and schools. busing and quotas exist and still exist, just schools and city officials would never admit it. they lost many of these cases over the years in nyc. usually asian pareants suing the city etc...

Someone with no income could go as fast as they wanted?

Being a college student would be excellent!

Think about it: All your income is in student loans and from mom. No on the books income at all.

You borrow moms car and drive 125 mph.

      Sweet.

How would it work for fleet cars? Could GE* employees on business also drive as fast as they wanted?

      *no income, 2010. Right?

Or federal gov employees on gov business?

The Feds lose money every year....

Does having a negative income mean you get paid for speeding, instead of fined?

      Think about it.

BG- it is the only label that fits

I think what I’d do is take a year off, get my do-what-I-want card, then work a year, maybe buying things VAT-free on commission (five percent?) for rich working people, then take the following year off, probably at a bungalow on a tropical island, thereby renewing my status, ... and repeat.

I'd ask my boss to pay me every other year, instead of everyother week.

When I save enough money, I’ll open a nice little fairtrade drugs, gambling, prostitution, and suicide shop. No guns, though! That shit is craazy! And on the fence about bootlegs. Not sure it fits the vision.
