Anyone know any info about the auto parts place on Park? There was a small for rent sign on the building (garage really) and then last week they slapped a gigantic for rent sign on there. Is this zoned to only be auto parts/garage things along this line? It's odd because that place always seems so busy.

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

To be clear, the zoning is residential but building C of O is for a "G9" use or garage with show room. If it sits vacant long enough, the building will revert to a residential use. It is a "non-conforming" use meaning the building was being used as a garage when the residential zoning ordinances were passed a long time ago. If some one wanted to use it as say a restaurant, they'd have to apply for a variance but I'm sure the community would prefer just about anything to a garage.
What do you think?

Besides the fact that they sometimes park their junky cars in already sparse street parking, I don't really mind them. I'm interested to see how the Hello Living condos do one block over on Sterling and if that would effect what happens here. Wouldn't mind a restaurant either though!
