Please add "school night" to the lesson plan. Make kids feel bad about their parents if they are up past midnight and having a tough time making it to early morning 5th grade."They taught us in school that kids should be in bed before 2am, it's not good for me".

do you mean we should teach kids that sunday-thursday nights kids should go to bed early? agreed - too many of my 2nd graders are running on 5-6 hours of sleep - it's terrible.

Just pissed off because I thought when school started that the little kids above me would go to bed instead of riding ponies all night. Maybe they started a tap dance studio for young kids for a jump start for a TV talent show. As a family I think they are having a bowling ball toss up there and the most slams on the floor wins! I am probably old fashioned but my parents wanted us to go to bed not singing along with the band on Jimmy Kimmel. Tonight before bed have a bucket of marbles poured on your roof and you will feel my pain.

Teachers do not put children to bed- That's the PARENTS' job. Too many people put too many responsiblities on the teacher. You need to tell your neighbors that they need to quiet down the noise after Xpm... It is the Parents' responsibility.

thanks, stella. i can talk all day long about the importance of healthy food choices and getting enough sleep, but when it comes down to it, the parents make those choices and the kids deal with the consequences.
