I need to buy a couple of baguettes in the morning. It seems like when I've been in Compare it sometimes smells like fresh bread and I think the Foodtown on Fulton has a bakery. Has anyone tried the bread from Compare? Is there some place in the Crown Heights/Bed Stuy, maybe Clinton Hill - ish neighborhoods?

I'm a fan of compare's twisted semolina loaf and their sliced whole wheat. Give them a try you'll prob. like it.

their bread has been mostly good, but I have found the occasional loaf that's been on the shelf a day or three too long.
...not that there's anything wrong with that. -
Good breads at farmers' markets Saturdays at Grand Army Plaza and Sundays on 5th Avenue and 4th Street.
Don't let the turkeys get you down. -

^^^ love the haircut.
For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor. -
David Allen's on Fulton also has good bread .

Lily and Fig on Franklin has some great loaves, but only on weekends (Saturdays?)
