So today I went and got my new tattoo. After some research and talking to people, I went to The Brooklyn Ink Spot on Franklin, near Park Place. Because of the parade, there were lots of people coming in and out and poking their heads into the shop while I was getting my tattoo done. Any one else ever get any work done there? I would really recommend the place - both artists did free hand when needed and really worked with the customers to alter a piece of flash they had picked out from the wall or whatnot to best fit that customer. I didn't see any other posts about them on Brooklynian, so I just wanted to say that I had a great experience there today!

I cant find anywhere online to see their work.. do they have a website?

Glad to know they're good. I went to another place on Franklin that no longer exists to get my wrist tattoo. I'm not completely in love with it though, so maybe I'll visit these guys and see what they can do. Any names you recommend?"...you can choose the rain....but I choose the sun..." - N. Costa

Good to know! I found out about them from the blog of a girl who was training with them earlier in the summer (http://tattoohoney.blogspot.com/ - looks like she's stopped posting) via ilovefranklinave's blog and thought I'd go check them out this fall. Glad to hear their good! If anyone finds a site for them, please share it! (I love looking at tattoo art for ideas)

finding things online was certainly hard -- Maria who is apprenticing has a website, but the guys are always hanging out both outside the shop and inside and I ended up just going over to meet with them and liked what work they had there. Their myspace is private I think - they did have business cards that were going so fast yesterday from the foot traffic from the parade. I worked with Damien who was great, but Ed's work was really good - he freehanded a huge piece on someone's shoulder while I was there with marker to then go over with the tattoo gun.

If you are logged into myspace you can get in and see photos
