I saw on Everyblock this morning that a permit application (dated 7/31) wasfiled with the DOB for a new building. I'll go out on a limb and predict thatwhatever is eventually built will bare no remblance to the 24 story glass tower, renderings of which were released a few years ago by the previous owners of thissite.
Building for 33 Lincoln Road?
You appear correct.
Someone is trying to build at 31 Lincoln Road, the Prospect Lefferts Gardens lot once slated for a controversial 23-story glass tower. A Brooklynian commenter noticed permit applications were filed this summer with the Department of Buildings. It appears that there will be two different buildings, one fronting Lincoln Road and the other fronting Flatbush Avenue. The application for 31-33 Lincoln Place calls for eight stories and 87 units. The application for 510 Flatbush Avenue calls for nine stories and 56 units. That’s 143 units total, all of which will be affordable rental apartments, as has already been reported. You may not want to hold your breath for a close construction date. The DOB disapproved plans for both buildings this month. Other applications for general site and structural work are still pending.Join us for Festivus on Sunday, January 12, 2014 http://brooklynian.com/forum/the-lounge-random-stuff/save-the-date-dec-15-2013-the-9th-annual-brooklynian-festivus?replies=1#post-774296
