Still planning to move soon to Sterling/NY.

This morning I was off and took a walk aroung the neighborhood to check out stores, day care centers, and I have to say...CH is gorgeous.

The walk down NY Ave from Eastern Parkway is awesome, the architecture is beautiful.

Mind you I do not want the neighborhood to change, I am running away from gentrification, but it would be silly of me saying I am unhappy about the new Organic store on Nostrand. I didn't check prices...I should have, right?

People double park everywhere, but I do not have a car anyway.

The number of churches puzzles me and St Gregory the great looks awesome. I also stood in awe in front of the Hebron Seventh Day Adventist's church and school, looks kind of run down, but they should shoot movies in that building! It's incredible.

Does anyone have any info on the school? I would be scared to go in, if I was a child, but it's really an incredible building.

Anyway, I want to see the landmarking operation happen soon, CH is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in a while.

Why does the number of churches puzzle you? Not trying to be confrontational but sincerely want to know. Lived here most of my life, and the church on every corner is so common as to not even be noticable. Brooklyn is one of the few places that's like that without the people being equally sanctimonious and preechy which is why I always loved religion here.

Absolutely not in a negative way! I was born and raised in the so called capital of christianity, aka Rome, Italy, and exactly as you state, it was not an inviting environment.

Every place in the world I lived in, after Rome, did not offer so many churches and I ended up missing it.

Walking around I was actually amazed by the architecture, St Gregory (just to name one) is a very pretty looking church, and I am actually looking forward to "live" the neighborhood and actually attend service.

Trust me, CH is not getting any criticism from me so far!
