Dry cleaning - where to go? Is there any decent drop off laundry if I am ever feeling anti-laundry? Sorry to ask such basic questions but everyone is so helpful and I trust in the kindness of strangers
-
On Nostrand between lincoln pl and st johns. Best drycleaners ever, they dont staple your clothes they use safety pins.

We go to Laundry City (formerly Laundry King) which is on Grand and Prospect (Grand splits off from Washington at Park Place, so it's basically at Washington and Prospect--Huge, you can't miss it). The price for drop-off now is 75c/lb, which isn't what I'd call cheap, but they've been reliable.

thank you both.

i used to go there since it's so close to where i live, but after they lost something of mine and made absolutely NO effort to find it, i haven't been back. -
i really like barbag on nostrand between park and prospect. they only do dry cleaning, but they are really good, really sweet, and the woman does fab alterations. they are also very affordable, esp for winter coats...and i wear a white wool coat in the winter here. as for laundry, i send mine out through r&f laundry. best.service.ever. unless i run out of towels or underoos on the off week, then igo to the laundromat on nostrand between park and sterling. its clean, cheap, AND they have pet birds there.cake or death? do you have a flag?

Do you know what barbag's hours are? I really need to get some alterations, etc. but can only get there late or on Saturdays... thanks. r&f picks up? what's there #? how much?
-
I'm also curious as to r&f, especially if they do pickups. I'm lazy/hate doing laundry
, so I've been dropping it off at the laundromat at Park Pl @ Franklin.
They're $.65/lb there for wash and fold, and they do a really good job, the staff's friendly and (as far as I can tell) nothing was lost or ruined.
It does look a little run down from the outside (and inside, admittedly) but the service was great.

What are their hours? -
7 or 8am - 11pm are their posted hours, I do believe they are open that late but after a certain hour they'll roll down the metal shutters on the big windows and leave only the front door shutter up. I drop laundry off in the morning and pick it up after work. The attendants have always been extremely nice and ever remembered my name. -O

the number for r&f is 718-499-4143 barbag is generally open until 7 or 730 pm, but they are closed on sundays.cake or death? do you have a flag?
