Is there an organization strickly centered on the blocks in flatbush below lefferts manor/garden, I mean from winthrop street thru church avenue, will we ever get the same attention as does lefferts g north? If so what is going on, we do nothing here.

This website deals with the southern part of PLG:

And PLGNA deals with all of PLG [Ocean to NY Ave. and Empire to Clarkson]:

I don't know of any organization that goes as far south as Church Avenue [except, perhaps, for the Flatbush Development Corp., which doesn't cover PLG].

      Good Morning Bob,

Thanks for sending da link. We need to shake up this stretch of the avenue. By the way, I've believe I may have met u at community board 9 meeting, so how u doin?? And lastly, this is just a curious question. Is there any organization looking to revamp the old kings theatre?

Could be chrissy--I was briefly a CB9 member a couple of years ago; it was an interim appointment and, after serving a few months, I was rather disenchanted and decided not to re-apply for a full term.

I believe there ARE plans to redo the Loews Kings, but I don't know the details.

      Bob-
It took a while for the plans to come together, but it sounds like they are now well under way:

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

It would not surprise me if the renovation of the theater resulted in some sit down restaurants opening up within walking distance.

The theater is going to be renovated in such a way that it is going to attract nicer events and shows.

...it isn't going to be showing movies.

Slowly, I am seeing changes on Flatbush north of Church Ave.
