Bar Corvo is just stunning! I went here a few days ago because I knew that Teddy's been gone for a while, and wanted to try out it's replacement! WOW was I beyond impressed. Not only were my fiance and I greeted and seated right away (major plus), but the waitress was really on top of EVERYTHING. Very quick, efficient, always checking on us while eating and gave us an all around excellent experience. In pertains to the food, I ordered the duck leg entree (A+++). I can say that when I usually order duck, it comes sliced. However, they way they prepared it was just unbelievable-right off the bone. Moist, with a tasty perfectly timed crust, and left me salivating for more! Not only that, but the sides were so tasty and filling. If you want a large and delectable portion, come to this spot! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. ANYONE in the PH area, please go check it out and enjoy this lil' community restaurant!

We've been raving about the service and food quality on this thread since it opened.
It seems busy every night I walk by.

Was there not long ago, just beat the 7PM rush so got a pleasant table, and the food was delicious. Service was also warm and helpful....a great addition to the neighborhood.

It will soon open another location locally.
We heard through the grapevine that the team behind al di là spinoff Bar Corvo had a new spot in the works, and co-owner Jacob Somers confirms. While he's not ready to reveal the concept (our tipster said meat-and-cheese place, though Somers says that's not quite right), he did give the address: 409 Lincoln Place, just around the corner from Corvo's Washington Avenue digs. Expect an early fall opening on this one.

Interior Construction on the cheese, olive oil, bread, chocolate store has begun.
Mrs Whynot can occasionally be seen circling the site, with the hopes of telling them she will buy quality chocolate should they stock same.

This will be terrible, but I already find myself going to Union Market every time I go to Bagel Hole which is with fair regularity.

As one looks in, there is a commercial kitchen along the back wall, a table running down the center, and an area for refrigerator cases of cheese along the right side.

I expect it will be a success, but I still wish someone would open a cheese store.

Mrs Whynot was able to to talk with one of the owners.
It seems the opening is being delayed while they wait for city permits for things like the gas and electrical work that was completed.
Also, they need to get the certificate that states their kitchen meets DOH codes. ....Perhaps it will open in mid January.
BTW, the owner confirmed that they will have fancy, stinky cheese for sale.
