Here's what a local crime website shows:
Shooting | Dean St & Nostrand Ave Brooklyn, NY | 5/18/2011 5:31 p.m.
Usually when they report a shooting, someone was hit.
For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor. -
Word on the street is that a person (I believe a male) was shot on New York Ave. at Pacific. The gun shots heard on the corner of Nostrand and Dean appear to be immediately related to and have followed after the initial shooting on New York Ave. No one appears to have been hit at the Dean and Nostrand location. That's the story as I have heard it. I have not learned if the shooting victim died. Although there doesn't appear to have been any injury at the corner of Nostrand at Dean, I did see numerous black cars and detectives in the area as I passed and there was police tape at that corner, if that is any indication of the severity.

Hmmm. Interesting. Gotham doesn't mention a man down on New York at Pacific. I didn't see it myself, but someone told me they saw the victim. Well, I'm sure whatever the truth is will be easy to learn as soon as it makes it onto the police blotter.

In the "unmapped incident section" Gothamist has the following:
Stabbing | The Earlier Reported Serious Trauma Was A Stabbing Victim - Went To KCH. Brooklyn, NY | 5/18/2011 6:42 p.m.
Which may (or may not.....) be related. Theory: It references an "earlier reported trauma" yet does not say what time said trauma happened.
If we subtract about an hour for that, it might be related.
KCH is one of the closest level 1 trauma centers to NY and Pacific. They also sometimes get the type of incident wrong (shootings vs. stabbings).
(there's obviously a lot of room for error in my theory)

you guys gotta post these shooting and crimes up whenever they happen, so people will be inform with whats going on.

i wanted to know about the shooting that happen on Uitca and union ave last week.. on crownheights.info they gave some details but nothing heavy.
anybody know about that 1.?

I don't.
...but crownheights.info is pretty cool because a big percentage of the orthodox folks read it, so if something happens over there they usually have pictures.

I am over there every day and I heard nothing -- although, in all seriousness, there seems to be a shooting on that very block QUITE often.

yes that area is veryyyy violent.. countless gun crimes around there.

alot of shooting in a 4 block span. in bedstuy, crown heights, east flatbush. week after week its shooting in the same area

hey stereo 5, why do you only care about shootings? Its not the only thing happening around here. But every single post of yours is about shootings, and its not like you give info, its like you keep saying shootings , shootings shootings, ..... Are you trying to scare off people?
