At approximately 11:30-midnight on 9/27/11, a driver of a white car was shot through the driver's side of his car. While trying to escape, he backed up against traffic on Bergen Street, hitting and causing damage to three parked cars. The driver was (probably) taken to the hospital, and is rumored to have survived his gun shot wound.

I am unsure, because the NYPD won't make a statement.

Possibly Man-Woman-Man triangle that went bad.

Definitely not happy about the crime rate in Crown Heights North. When I left this morning with my family, I saw police vehicles on Bergen & Kingston! The violence has to be stopped--whether it's a lover's triangle or gang related, it's disgusting. People have no regard for life anymore. SMH!!

On September 28 at 12:03am, a 40-year-old man was shot once in the left torso while in his car on Bergen St., between Brooklyn Ave. and Kingston Ave. The victim claimed that he heard shots, put his car in reverse and sideswipped three cars before realizing he was shot. He hailed a cab to Interfaith Hospital and remains in critical condition. There are no motives for the shooting at this time.

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.
