10am-2pm on Saturday, 9/22, please come out to Brower Park and help clean up the greenery around the skate park/blacktop between the Childrens Museum and the school:

In addition to raking leaves, weeding, and pruning, we'll also be painting the benches and picking up any stray litter, so there are a variety of tasks available. Phil Hawkins from Friends of Brower Park and a parks employee will be there. It's a great way to meet your neighbors if you can't make the meetup at Neptune next week.

If you tell me you're coming, I'll have a set of gloves available for you - otherwise, please bring your own.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give this topic a bump, because volunteering is this weekend!

If you can't make this weekend but would like to do gardening-type activities, I found out that the week after this, on 9/29, the 1100 Bergen St garden (near Nostrand) is having a volunteer day:
