Pennsylvania prosecutors released security-camera photos on Thursday of two men who they say used the credit cards of a missing Brooklyn cafe owner, Joshua Rubin, hours after his burned body was found along a rural road in Pennsylvania. The photos were taken Nov. 1 at Woodbury Common, an outlet center in Orange County, N.Y. They show two young men with close-cropped hair in hooded jackets carrying shopping bags.
For those not following the story, Joshua Rubin was 30 and lived in Ditmas Park, and he was owner of the Whisk Bakery Cafe. The last time anyone saw him was Oct. 31. He was shot in a death considered a homicide.
New York cops were searching for him, unaware that his body was found in PA... And the PA cops couldn't figure out whose remains they had found by the roadside. Not until Dec. 20 did they ID the body.
