where is a good spot to buy fresh christmas tree's in the clinton hill / ft. greene neighborhood? thanks so much!
-
Hmm. "Fresh"? Not sure. I've gotten them at the corner of Hall & Myrtle but they're not the freshest trees, although they do a good enough job standing in the living room and holding up ornaments.Spend a buck, light a number for one the 400,000 victims in Darfur: darfurwall.org

anyone considering buying a potted tree? i hate seeing the trees in body bags on the sidewalks after xmastime. -
Potted trees only make sense if you have a place to plant them later.

I hear you. I guess my only thought is that the trees are planted to be harvested. It's not like they're tearing down the rainforests.

I believe you can compost the trees later. I think Greenmarket has a collection after the holidays.
-
Greenmarket probably has a collection...and NYC Parks Dept sponsors a mulching program in January.
-
They're selling them on the sidewalk on Myrtle - i think near Bank of America.
-
You can buy them at the party shop on Fulton between Ft. Green Place & St. Felix. There is a city composting program which takes place in Fort Greene Park.

thanks for the info .. i shall be buying a tree tomorrow!
