Mello is an orange tabby. He wandered from the backyard on Halsey (btw Bedford and Nostrand). He has a bruised face and a bit of an inflamed tail owing to an allergic condition. He knows the backyards well -- he was born here -- so is probably trapped in a basement or caught in a construction zone or hurt. He is very much loved and has adoring feline companions. I would be very grateful if you would keep an eye out and let me know if you see any cat that looks like him. I don't mind a false lead!!

Folks, I really am sorry about this continual retrying but I keep getting an error msg. Third time lucky, I hope, and luckier with finding Mello too, I hope.

And this is a closer picture of him with his housemate so you can see that his face seems a bit bruised (he has an allergic condition)

He's prob around the area, try canvassing it early morning before most ppl are up with a bag/tin of treats. I saw your post on Tabby Tracker but it helps if you put a pic up too even though it costs $5.
Also talk to neighbors, door to door. We printed up a 5x7 flyer with a pic, name, description, and contact info for my lost cat and went door to door and it helps more than putting up signs that are just torn down or ruined.
I will crosspost so hopefully local rescuers can help too as they will be more aware of a new cat in a colony that passersby.

Mello was found in a parking lot! Thanks to a wonderful woman on the block who feeds ferals, she spotted him in her colony. He was scared but otherwise, he is none the worse for wear.
Thanks to all of you for keeping an eye out!

Please consider having him micro-chipped so if he should ever wind up at the city shelter or another rescue, as long as you keep your info updated with the company, you will be contacted.
