I am looking at a place to have a children's birthday party. A community center, a large room, a church basement or playroom or even a restaurant would work. I am flexible on the type of space. Basically any decent sized space for a few hours is what I am looking for.

The kids are 4-9 years in age, approximately 20-25 kids. It would be great if it was a space where they could move around. I want to have a craft table. I would buy food there if necessary, but I can bring everything I need on my own.

I'd like to stay in the neighborhood so it's easy for classmates to attend. We are in Bed-Stuy. I'd like to be around the Bedford-Nostrand G stop area or in the vicinity if possible. But of course, willing to entertain any and all suggestions and ideas.

      Thanks!

I think the YMCA on Bedford rents out their front room for events. Last time I was there someone was having a baby shower.

Saint Nicholas church on 19th St bet 5th and 6th Ave has 2 huge connected halls with full kitchen. The place is nice, and very reasonable. I rented it not long ago for a party and it worked out beautifully. Good luck!

The Gibson House, which is the big mansion on Gates Avenue, between Franklin and Classon, also has party rental space. People have birthday parties and baby showers there quite often. The building is owned by the Pratt Area Community Council (PACC).

Hello, just an FYI, as the Mananger of Events at PACC, unfortunately, we do not rent GIBB Mansion or any of the community rooms out to the general public anymore. Thanks.
