Subject: Teen girl raped in Fort Greene Park's southeast playground
This happened early Saturday morning (about a week ago). That is so sickening. I hope she recovers from this. Is this the same area that had where the other women were raped? Why does it take so may assaults for the police to add extra patrols to that area?

Fort Greene Park is not a totally different area from the Franklin Shuttle & Fulton. It is the SAME neighborhood. I can walk from one point to the other in 20 minutes. I go to both locations several times every single week. If I can, so could a perpetrator. Why would a perp stick to a three block radius? -
Wow. Okay I'll delete "totally". But still not the SAME neighborhood. One is Bed-Stuy, the other is Fort Greene, over a mile apart. The two areas you have mentioned are in two different precincts, btw. I too walk them all the time, but I answered what seemed to be a question of whether they were right next to each other. Which is not to say that same perpetrator couldn't have done all the assualts, but wasn't someone arrested in the earlier assaults already?

Thanks Putnam you are correct that someone was arrested for the earlier ones. Here is the thread I was talking about http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56531 Still with more of these types of crimes happening I would hope that both precincts could work together on this. Ladies please keep your wits about and always travel with someone late at night. Make sure if you come by cab you make the cab wait until you are inside your doors.
