I am just looking for a place that sells the cheap (acrylic) stuff which is what I always use with no probs. Thanks. i.e. Bernat, Red Heart brands. Thanks. I am sick and stuck at home and can't travel.

I find yarn stores in this city jack up their prices too high, especially on the cheap stuff. Personally I buy all that stuff on-line, where even with the shipping it comes out to less money. It also gets delivered directly to you which is great for the not moving too much part, but not so fun if inspiration is hitting you at that exact moment.

      I like JoAnn.com

There is a discount/dollar plus store on 5th Ave on the block between Bank of America and Blockbuster that sells yarn for reasonable prices. It may be closed today because of the New Year Holiday. I think it is called G & E.

You mean the former Blockbuster location in Park Slope that is going to be a Ricky's?
