For any of my fellow Brooklynites shopping for Christmas stories for the kiddoes, the digital version of "One Little Christmas Tree" can now be had (for the next 24 hours) for FREE at Amazon.com.
Although the setting for this little tale is Manhattan, I suspect you'll get the gist. It's an all-around NYC kind of story.

The text is mine. The illustrations are by Viorica Vandor (of Deva, Romania). This was an online collaboration we started up several months ago. (The story won a "Fiction Prix, 2010" in January of last year at a site called 'DanseMacabre,' but that site has since disappeared from the 'Net.) A slightly abridged version was also published at CerisePress in June of 2010, where it still resides in the archives.
