Captain Kirk Lloyd Douglas of The Roots will premiere his new ensemble band Hundred Watt Heart at Brooklyn Bowl on November 3rd with door proceeds going to benefit the Maple Street School. DJ Spinna will be on hand for two sets, and
DJ ?uestlove will host the after party as only he can.
Hundred Watt Heart features Kirk Douglas on lead vocals and guitar, Ricc Sheridan of Earl Greyhound on drums and percussion, and Jonathan Maron of Groove Collective on bass.
General admission tickets start at $35 and can be purchased in advance at http://www.maplestreetschool.org. Premium and VIP tickets are also available online and include stage side banquette seating and unlimited bowling.
The event begins at 6:00 PM at Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Avenue between N. 11th & 12th streets Williamsburg, Brooklyn. All proceeds benefit Maple Street School, a non-profit cooperative preschool. For more information, go to http://www.maplestreetschool.org
