The Brooklyn Artists Gym Single-Parent Membership Program offers two (2) artists six months of unlimited access to the Brooklyn Artists Gym open studio space, as well as all membership benefits including salon exhibition opportunities, open critiques, figure drawing, and being a part of a growing network of serious 2D artists. The residency aims to provide studio space and community to single parents who need studio space and have difficulty paying for a studio.
For the purposes of this program, a single parent is someone raising a child or children under 18 years of age who is not living with another caregiver (in the form of spouse, boy- or girlfriend, grandparent or other relative, or partner).
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE by 5PM MAY 20TH 2011.
Interviews will take place May 23-27th and applicants will be notified with results the first week of June. Recipients will be honored at our June fundraiser celebration.
