We are a duo of Learning Specialists experienced and certified in literacy and special education. We are available for tutoring in August through the 2012/2013 school year. We have been trained in and have spent the last 5 years working with an Orton Gillingham based, sequential, phonics program designed specifically for children that have diverse reading challenges.
It is our philosophy that the frst step in a successful child-tutor relationship is building trust and a strong rapport. This creates an organic relationship that fosters successful teaching and learning.
We truly believe that with the consitency of a structured reading program, in addition to numerous opportunities to read high interest leveled books and engage in targeted hands-on games and activities, children can and will make progress with their reading.
