Sirvigo.. I wonder what dentist you are talking about. Could it be Nathaniel Sasson.. on 9th, right off corner of 6th ave.. If indeed it is NOT that dentist then you are in luck...check him out..I have been his patient for 15 years and it is possible he needs no new patients because his reputation is out there . But, if that isn't who you are referring to you are in luck. 718 965 9823 the very best low cost, takes insurance dentist in PS.

Dr. Sasson is the best dentist I have ever had. Very honest & friendly as is his staff. And so close! I loved my dentist in Manhattan, still, Sasson, my favorite.

I think guildenstern is better. But I'm not sure you can get an appointment with either of them anymore.

Been to Rosenkranz once, and so far so good. Both he and his staff are extremely personable. Very thorough, explains everything, very modern equipment, all good. Late and Sunday hours, too!

(to be honest, introverted crank that I am, I almost thought he was too friendly, but that's just me and my issues - I will be going back)

Yes, I agree. The reach-around, while not unwelcome, was a bit much.

Not only that, he sent me $100 in the mail a couple months after the appointment.

Seems I make this recommendation every time Dentists come up but Dr. Sass is just the best! he takes many insurance coverages and even if you have no coverage his fees are reasonable. Over the years the referrals h has given me for specialized dental treatments have been great,

Dr. Sasson is great and will help you out even if you don't have insurance. I was hard up and thought i couldn't afford to fix my tooth. He patched it up and everything, including penicillin, cost me $50. I recommend him highly

let me tell you why i love rosenkranz, for example.

I went there a month ago (7 months pregnant) and while i was there to show him a broken tooth, i also showed him this weird swollen gland I had on the left side of my neck. He told me it could be a cyst, or numerous other things but I should def go check it out with an EAR NOSE THROAT. In the meantime, he wanted me to see a root specialist ASAP to make sure a root infection on the left side was not causing this swollen gland thing. He picked up the phone in front of me, dialed my OBGYN, got him on the phone and got permission to put me on antibiotics for a root infection (just in case I had one) RIGHT THERE AND THEN!!!!!

      Who does that???? NO ONE!

He really cares about his patients! I was floored!

      I am Rosenkranz for life!

Swollen gland ended up being a benign cyst that could or could not be pregnancy related-

      Subject: Ditto Rosenkrantz

Dr. Rosenkrantz was great. I was nervous about starting with a new dentist since I really liked my old one, but I just moved to the area and needed someone closer. Anyway- He's great. He tried to get me a new mouth guard (for teeth grinding) by calling up the company right there to complain it doesn't fit. I've never had a dentist take so many xrays- Maybe they were a little unnecessary (I think he took one to get a good view of each tooth), but he's thorough. And friendly. I thought too friendly at first too, but then I liked it. I'll actually look forward to going back.

I just switched jobs and now have new insurance. Thank you for all of the dentist suggestion. I will definitely be checking some of these people out. I will also search for other threads on the topic as I think that someone mentioned that there was one. Thanks!

I think the other threads are pretty much about Rosenkranz (Park Slope Dental). Bf and I are very happy to be his patients.

So basically, moesatriani bumped this THREE YEAR OLD thread in order to do the lamest SEO in the history of SEO for a dentist... in Ottawa? Yeah, I'll be sticking with Rosenkranz.
