Is there a restaurant or site in Brooklyn that would be ideal for a 30 person or so sit down private lunch? Its for a baby shower. The space must be private or closed to the public for the few hours I need it. And pls, someplace that looks good. No hideous mirrored and carpeted catering halls.

Doesnt have to be in Park Slope but it has to be somewhere in Brooklyn.

Ive hosted a party at Magnolia and was happy with it...but it can't be in the same spot.

Sorry, but the first (and only) thing that came to my mind was Magnolia as well.

Maybe Kitchen Bar? 6th Ave at around 20th St.

Thanks Flexi. Its for a baby shower so I cant have it in a bar. (at least I dont think I can

Guest, would love to use the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens but I think their site fee is about $10K right now..so thats way beyond any budget I have.

Kitchen Bar is a restaurant, really. Plus, if I was going to be around a bunch of preggos and kids, the FIRST thing I'd want to do is drink me some

Try the back room at the new Biscuit. I co-hosted a baby shower there last year when it was Night and Day and it was a very nice setting.
