I want to look up and see what, if any violations are listed against the building I live in. I know someone on here must know what site I can go to, thanks!

http://www.nyc.gov/html/dob/html/bis/bis.shtmlFor better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

http://www.propertyshark.com also has some really good information. I think it has the same list of violations but it also provides more good info such as the landlord's name, how much he paid for the building, etc. Definitely good and it's free if you look at less than 6 properties per day.

thanks, I looked at both sites. Question about property shark, when looking up my building, they have a listing of the various apartment owners. All of my neighbors are listed but we are not. Is that odd?

Be thankful. Property shark is a private business primarily used by brokers to solicit business. The only important place to be listed is that piece of paper called a deed. You really can't trust NYC.gov in that respect either.
