Hello everyone, my neighbors and I found a lost kitty this past weekend and we don't know who the owner is. She is very sweet and must belong to someone. We found her in our connecting backyards on Baltic St between 4th and 5th Ave. We actually spotted her last week when she followed my GF home from 5th and baltic but disappeared until now. If you are missing a kitty shoot me a PM and describe her and we'll let you know if its a match.

So no one has claimed this cute kitty and we have put up flyers asked around the block and obviously posted here. So she is now up for adoption. I don't like cats. Yes, i know that may offend some but I just don't particuarly care for them. This cat is sweet as pie. Just wants to sit in your lap and be rubbed by you. She'll just roll around in your lap purring and loving you. A real sweetheart. She is young, proablyh around 1 year and would be great for people with smal children as you can pretty much do whatever you want to her and she doesn't seem to mind. My apt is not equipt to deal with a litter box so I can't really keep her. If you are interested post here or shoot me a PM.

Have you tried swinging by a local vet to see if she's microchipped? Any vet can do this for you for free to see if there is a match.

Post this on the pets board also, plus contact trusted foster and adoption agencies like Kensington Kitties, list on Petfinder, craigslist, fido but I suggest to go with foster networks first, that way you know a good person can take car of the cat and make sure it goes to the right home. See our pets board, at the top there is one sticky post that lists agencies and places to seek help. Good luck, PM if you need help posting a picture or anything. Unfortunately I already have one foster cat and he doesn't like any other animals, so my apt is full at the moment.(\__/)

The woman with blue hair named Hilary who works at Shawn's Liquors on 7th Av is involved with cat adoption and rescue. She may be able to help.

She's beautiful! I wish I could take her, but my cat would go ballistic.

Hey Everyone, no one has adopted our little furry friend here. We had a couple of people interested but one ended up being allergic to cats and the others just fell through. If anyone would like a super sweet cat please let us know. We cannot hold on to her much longer and need to find her a home asap. Thanks all.

She looks beautiful...but I have a very old cat at home and she wouldn't appreciate a newcomer. If no one takes her, try calling Sean Casey and see if they'll take her. And thank you for caring for her even though you don't like catsPeanuts

Ok, so this poor cat is still up for adoption. We found out that she is actually preggers so my GF and I had a vet uh, take care of the situation and spay her. She got all her shots updated and tested for all feline diseases. So now we have a cat that is still up for adoption and now fully up to date with shots and is spayed. She needs a home and she is super sweet.

Shacked26, have you tried contacting the foster folks people have mentioned here? Or the suggestion of listing on Craigslist/Petfinder? They may just have a bigger audience. Good luck to you, she looks like such a sweet kitty.

Yes, we've called a lot of organizations that handle fostering but unfortunately there is a surplus of stray cats out there... We are going to be posting up flyers at all the pet stores in the hood, key food and laudry mats. Hoping that someone will step up and give her a home. Thank you for the compliment femmedada.

For Sean Casey, you have to call him all the time as the space he has available changes daily. You may want to swing by there and meet him in person. You can usually find him in the retail pet store (next door to the shelter).

Thanks for the heads up Flexi, we'll keep on him.

He is completely overwhelmed with animals and does a fabulous job, but I think (as with anything in life) that people tend to be more willing to help when you make a human connection face-to-face. If you have the availability to swing by there on a quiet morning or afternoon and talk to him in person, he might remember you and give you a call when he has a spot. It's usually just a matter of timing with him -
