does anybody know where I can get my daughters prom dress altered? It is chiffon and needs hemming, has some beading and a little train to bustle and needs something for support in the bust so I dont want to take it to my regular cleaners

You should check out Susan Ruddie of The Wedding Dresser. She just did alterations on my gown for my son's wedding and some of the bridesmaids gowns and did beautiful chiffon hems. I am sure she would alter a prom dress. Her prices were very reasonable. I needed more coverage and to add sleeves and Susan charged less than David's Bridal. She does a free consultation first, and will come to your apartment for the fittings. She was really lovely to work with. I am a big fan!
