Anyone know why a chopper's been hovering over the south slope for the last 20 minutes?

There were a lot of copters in the area this AM, probably just assessing the damage from yesterday's tornado. Or check gothamist's map to see it any police related incident happened.(\__/)

From the park it looked like news copters, most likely for the storm damage.

Supposedly some of the whirly birds are out surveying the damage pattern to determine if it was a tornado or just a bad storm.
