Is there anywhere in the slope that delivers (good) chocolate cake? Or just really delicious cake?

They are probably closed at this hour, but try Little Buddy Biscuit Company (on 5th near 20th I think) or Ladybird (on 8th Ave near 12th). I've had really delicious cake (Brooklyn Blackout and the lemon cloud) from Ladybird, and a woman I know who bakes good cakes said she got a great cake from Little Buddy.

Thanks I just had the MOST amazing slice of chocolate cake at the chocolate room. It completely did the trick. That place is simply exquisite. I also recommend their brownie sundae, for those particularly bad blue meanies.

Yeah the brownie sundae is my eternal downfall there as well.

You can make chocolate cake in the microwave!

I've had it. It's not great, but it satisfies the chocolate craving. If you have fudge sauce or whipped cream, it's even better.

Haha...I didn't know it was for you. I was imagining that you needed to get it sent to a friends or some event where you were supposed to take cake.

For future reference, I think Belleville has stellar desserts and the last time I had dessert at Cubana Cafe, both were really really good (yes I had both).
