      Happy belated new year, everyone!

So I am also belatedly in the market for a Christmas present, and I want to make a mug. You know: pottery. Here's the catch, I guess: I want to make this a one-shot deal, where I spend an afternoon getting muddy and embarrassing myself with my awful mug-making efforts, then I glaze it, then I'm done. But places like The Painted Pot, which has been recommended, give you the option of either selecting pre-made bisque and painting it, OR signing up for a $350+ 10-week class. Does anyone know of anything in between?

Park Slope is better but I'm willing to put the time in elsewhere in Brooklyn or Manhattan.

      Thanks!

You should PM Brooklynpotter - she is extremely knowledgeable about this stuff. I am not sure if she offers it but she should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!
