Can anyone recommend a good tailor in the area who can do some alterations to a mens suit? Need more than just the basics done.

      Thanks!
    2. Best of luck with that, I've been looking for years (literally) trying to find a decent men's tailor in the area. But if you do find someone, by all means, please share the info.

Don't got to My Montuno on Washington Ave. They're rude, slow, unreliable, and overpriced for shoddy work.

I suggest Bridge Cleaners & Tailors on Livingston St

      (718) 625-1438

They tailored 3 suits for me last year (pants hemmed, waist and seat brought in, coat sleeve shortened etc). The work they did was fantastic! Delivered as promised, on time etc.

      Good luck!

      Nothing in Park Slope.

As I've posted before, I've had great results with One Stop on Court Street between 3rd and 4th in Carroll Gardens.

      No.

but if you want to take a trip Wagner Tailors on Fulton st, just off Broadway are pretty good and have reasonable prices.

It's above the souvenir store on the south side of Fulton, east of Broadway. Go into the store and towards the back there are stairs for Wagner Tailors.

for the cost of a suit and a real tailor you might as well just buy a bespoke suite to begin with.

The tailor at the shop shop on PPW and 17th st. took apart and remade a pair of slacks for me. She's great. (718-788-2752).

I posed this question to a friend who is famous for his vintage suits. Here's what he said:

"Try these guys called Nelson Tailor on Rivington. It's this tiny Dominican place, and you'll walk in and say, "Here? Really?" But they do great work and they consistently charge much less than they should."

      I haven't gone, yet, but it's a quick shot on the F.
