Subject: New lounge called Garfield's?
Hallo, does anyone know anything about this new bar called Garfield's that cropped up on Fourth Avenue at the bottom of Garfield Pl. No relation, so far as I know to the legendary Brooklyn diner of the same name. It's normally hidden behind steel shutters (which obscures the sign too), so you wouldn't see it when it's not open. Underneath a law office, next to the golden Touch Car Wash. It's been under development since at least February, but seems to open rather erratically. Anyway, the reason I'm curious is there was this huge racket outside there on Friday night. Cars double parked, music, people on the sidewalk, bikes revving. Definitely not a Cattyshack crowd. anyone know what this is? 4th ave off carroll st-new bar? is it a gay bar? what's the deal with the old cattyshack place too, while i'm on the block.Ask a burning question, get a burning answer. -
Not new at all. It's a place where no one from around PS goes to. It's completely out of place and I have no clue why it's there.

Cattyshack been closed forever, there's a new lesbian place opening up there soon.

It seems like they keep very irregular hours, although it did look open a couple of days ago. Also, it is a venue for private parties, at least occasionally. Agreed, totally out of place in the nabe'.

hi my name is donna you can rent out garfields bar for the night if you have a event. we will be doing different events in the bar. Sept 30,2011 we will be doing a spa bar event where the women can come in buy a drink and get a free spa this will start around 4 pm then oct 29, 2011 we are doing a halloween party. starts around 11pm then nov 17,2011 we will be doing a shopping night all are welcome we wil have clothes to sell spa, children clothes, and other vendors coming in must be 21 and over for the halloween party or u will not be allowed in
