North Sunset Park??? Nothing

    1. Hi. I finally moved to a more quiet area of Sunset Park. I live over by 8th ave in the Chinatown section.

While I love it here, it seems that this area is very residential and there are no Diner's, Coffee shops etc. Any one have any suggestions on places to see, places to eat, places to buy coffee. There are a lot of Chinese bakeries, and while the pastries are good, the coffee generally sucks.

Sorry you have moved to the hinderland. I have no suggestions but the 5th ave bus can bring you back. Not snarkey here...just realistic. I love the sunsets over where you are in the park and people are friendly.

Ba Xuyen, best bahn mi: http://www.yelp.com/biz/ba-xuyen-brooklyn-2 The coffee isn't bad but probably isn't what you're used to, they use the cafe du monde mix with chicory.

For other food, be adventurous, there are some hole in the wall places that serve up some good, cheap food.

      No Snark here, but:
"Home" is where I can sleep at night without cars parked outside blasting music, people peeing in my flowers, or drinking on my stoop. Yep, life is NICE in the hinterland. I am willing to just opt for delivery from 5th ave, since I am finding out that most spots there will just deliver any way. Yea it would be nice to walk 1 block for breakfast, but its nicer to sleep a full night sleep and invite friends over to a pretty decorated apartment.

You are better off in the peace and quiet. Get healthy groceries and cook more at home. You should be a lot happier and healthier from now on. Plus most places will deliver from 5th Ave to where you are. good luck.

It's so hard to be a saint in the city.
