Where is a notary public on Monday please and thank you! And did you know you have to ask the supreme court to change your name?!

I believe Palma Chemist does Notary on all days but Sunday. And yes, I know you have to go through the courts to get your name changed.

Cool. Thanks. Booklaw are you a notary?
-
There's also one in the jewelry store on 7th ave and 8th street. So you have to get it OK'd by Scalia and Thomas to change your name? I hope you're not changing it to Long Dong Silver. Thomas may object (seeing how he knows the name's taken).

I am not. I let my notary status lapse some years ago.
Citibank has a notary, as does the Lepelstat insurance office on Union St.

I am sweetie just sent you a PM

If you're changing your name due to marriage you only have to bring the marriage certificate to the Social Security Office.. Not sure what your reason is, though, so unsure if that applies.

I ended up at the jewelry store this morning- it was $3. Too bad I didn't have a utility bill when I got to the courts and now have to go back.
-
Which jewelry store? (I know this is an old thread but I need one available in the evenings, preferably close to home).
Also, any other rec's for one on 7th Ave?
-
Ah, that jewelry store. Sadly, they are not open late enough. I would like somewhere that is open after 6:30 or 7 tonight or tomorrow night.
Then I have to figure out where a fed ex location is around here.
-
OQ, honestly as soon as I didn't need one I started seeing them everywhere. There's one further down 7th at a law firm I think? West side in the teens? Seen them on 5th too.
Not very helpful sorry. There's also a popular member of brooklynian who is a notary and may help you out. This awesome poster offered to be my notary and you're almost as awesome as me.

Why are you changing your name? We all want to know.... and obviously you want to tell us.
-
I hope Scarlett does away with just having a first name and literally becomes Scarlett Johanssson. The woman is nice to look at.
For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor. -
We ended up just taking the papers with us while doing things on 7th Ave and here are some of my findings:
Neergaard on 7th near President has a notary on weekends, but I don't think they have particularly long hours on weekends.
The jeweler on 7th that supposedly has a notary was not open this weekend. (maybe all weekends?)
Supposedly some other small pharmacies on 7th have a notary public, but we did not check.
One place said the Chase bank on 7th near President also has a notary during business hours.
