I'm relatively new to Park Slope/New York and it's about that time for a 6 month check up. When searching through my dental provider, PS Family Dentistry came up and it seemed really convenient being that it's only 2 blocks from my apt. (i'm on 5th/Union). I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. I always like to try to get some word-of-mouth reporting on dentists/doctors so figured I'd check here. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

you wouldn't happen to know anything about bisco would you? i, through much research, have found that Modern Dental on 7th ave b/w 7/8 streets is really inexpensive, and the doc knows what he's doing.Drink good beer.

how much does modern dental charge (before insurance) for: 1) intial tooth exam 2) cleaning 3) regular fillings

i think the cleaning i had was @ $50, as was the last exam i had. i have no dental insurance at the moment that's why i go there. i just had a root canal, post & core, and crown done there to the tune of $1300.Drink good beer.

I don't have dental insurance either, but I'm afraid to switch dentists because the initial tooth exam/x-ray is always so expensive
