Does anyone know of a Park Slope room or apartment that is for rent by the day? I am looking for a place that out of town guests can stay when they visit. Thanks.

Thanks for suggesting a hotel, but in the past I have known of a woman who lives near me who would rent out a room by the night. She would only charge $75 or $100 by the day which is a lot cheaper then a hotel. But she ended up renting out the room by the year.

i'd check craigslist vacation listings and also the vacation rentals by owner website.

i've found apartments for visiting guests both ways.

If it has to be right in Park Slope - not many options that I know of.

HOWEVER, there is a real hotel (Kings Hotel) on 39th street - fairly new, clean, on site parking and it is right by the M/D 9th Avenue train stop for $100/day. There is an even cheaper one in Boro Park ($75/day) but a bit of a haul.

Would opt for the hotels just for amenities and less hassle. B&Bs are more $$$ and the other hotels in the area are pricier.

It might be worth checking some of the home exchange vacation bulletin board thingees. Although my experience on the receiving end (via my former landlord) is that stays tend to be measured in weeks rather than days. And of course you have to be willing to have strangers stay in your house.

there are always tons of people subletting their apartments on the Park Slope Parents list, if you are a member, i would check that out.

Otherwise, Craigslist as someone else said. And, there are also a few B&B's around the neighborhood, there's one on PPW and one on 3rd Street just off the top of my head.
