Rudresh Mahanthappa Quartet will plays excerpts from their acclaimed 2006 album Codebook, followed by a discussion of the work’s unique inspiration and compositional basis in cryptography. Presented by the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, this event will be a rare and intimate opportunity to listen to and learn from this award-winning contemporary jazz ensemble that fuses Eastern and Western musical traditions.
