I'm sorry to see Catene closing. It was a real neighborhood fixture but their erratic hours and not being opened when their sign said they would be opened discouraged repeat business, no matter how much I enjoyed their stuff in the past. I go to a place once that says they will be opened from w to y and they are closed, I get a negative feeling, I try to go again to get some calamari and plan my route to make their posted hours and they are closed again, I never go back.
This applies to many Slope business, not just ones that are posted as closed in this thread. My personal peeve is not being opened when your sign says you will be there. If I am making an effort to shop local, do me the courtesy of opening or closing when your sign says you will be there.
If my local drugstore says they will be open at 9, I don't want to have to wait outside in the cold until the owner decides to arrive 45 minutes later. If your threading salon says you will be open until 8 pm, why do I come to your storefront at 7 and the lights are out and the place is closed for the day?
