Is there any place in the Slope that would have an ugly men's Christmas sweater? I have to wear one to a party and need to pick something up on short notice. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

You might be able to purchase one at the Cliche Party store

How about places like Dee and Dee on 5th Ave?

Salvation Army on Atlantic?

How about that store on the southwest corner of 12th Street & 5th Ave. that always has hideous clothing hanging outside during nice weather?Starting a list of users names who are actually the same person: west1440, DownwardPuppy, TruthandBeauty, Stretchy, RupaulRox, NarcolepticAbe, QuantumSilence, SoldierSantana, SouljaJuan, TrendPotter, THREEKxdz, HomeEida

i'd try meshimar, the 2nd-hand clothing store on 7th between 14th and 15th. or monk, the 2nd hand store between 16th and 17th on 5th ave. both have some good stuff, some kitsch, and some salvation army-type stuff. ugly christmas sweater must fit in one of those categories.Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

hey, i'm not maligning meshimar...i've sold some of my own beloved castoffs there! but among the nice stuff, you can often find high-quality yet also not necessary attractive to all tastes stuff. i could imagine the woman who wors there taking something like a men's wool sweater with, like, reindeer around the collar. which is what i'm picturing OP wanting. wow, my post looks really defensive in retrospect. this all just in case brooklyn potter is the nice meshimar woman's sister or something. i like the lady who works there!Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

This isn't in the Slope but there's a strange antique (term used loosely) store on Court (across from Frankie's 457) that had the ugliest Xmas sweater I've ever seen. It was there Saturday afternoon.

Post a "wanted" on Brooklyn freecycle. I'm sure there's one out there, and the price would be right.
